UConn Research Study: For Parents with Deaf Kids Age 12 & Under

Posted on

Are you the parent or primary caregiver of a deaf child who’s younger than 12 years old? Researchers from the University of Connecticut would love to talk with you! We’re trying to do a better job of describing the language input that’s available to deaf children in their earliest years. We know that every child is unique, and we want to hear about your child’s story. If you’re interested, email leptstudy@gmail.com to see if you qualify.

The study consist of a 1-hour interview (over the phone, via online videochat, or in person), conducted in either English or American Sign Language (ASL). A short video about the study (in ASL with English captions & voiceover) is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwb-gbi7YqY&feature=youtu.be You will need to have internet access during the interview. Participants will receive a $10 gift card to Target.
