HARTFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY OFFERS TWO SATURDAYS TO HELP WITH YOUR TAXES

Households earning less than $49,000 may be eligible to claim as much as $5,657 in Earned Income Tax Credits. Social Security disability benefits do not count as earnings when determining EITC eligibility.

You can get your refund on a pre-paid Advent MasterCard.

You can also get assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to help pay for higher education.

IRS trained, certified, volunteer tax preparers will be there to help you e-file your taxes and get your refunds in five to nine days (at no cost and no hassles) or in just two days with a low fee Rapid Express loan.

Join asset building programs without affecting your public benefits.

Sign language interpreters from the Commission on the Deaf and Hearing Impaired will be provided at the courtesy of Connect-Ability, Bureau of Rehabilitation Services and a partnership between United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.
