Private citizens and other service providers testified in opposition of terminating CDHI later in the video. Please understand that it is common to find people to speak death instead of deaf when talking about deafness.

If you wish to read written testimony submitted to the Government Administration and Elections Committee including some people who couldn’t make it to the public hearing, please visit the link.

Also American School for the Deaf, Commission on Deaf and Hearing Impaired Board, Connecticut Association of the Deaf , Connecticut Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, and FSW of Bridgeport spoke up against the termination of CDHI in 2014.

Even private citizens and other service providers shared their concerns with the Government Administration and Elections Committee (GAE).

THANK SO MUCH FROM THE DEAF COMMUNITY FOR YOUR SUPPORT !

GAE committee listened well enough to say that they understand the deaf community’s concerns , and know how important CDHI is! They will make a final decision in a few weeks. Keep on emailing or calling them!

Webmaster: We are glad that we are still alive! :)
